So, I googled the definition of imposter syndrome:
im·pos·tor syn·drome
noun
noun: imposter syndrome
the persistent inability to believe that one’s success is deserved or has been legitimately achieved as a result of one’s own efforts or skills.
“people suffering from impostor syndrome may be at increased risk of anxiety” (lol facts)
That is the verified Google definition of imposter syndrome.
FIRST OF ALL, you are exactly where you are today because of everything you’ve done in the past (good, bad and the ugly).
My personal opinion is that if you suffer from imposter syndrome you are doing everything right (but like the definition says, you probably suffer from anxiety). Feeling like you don’t deserve to be where you’re at just means that you are somewhere you never thought you would be AND that is BAD A**. For example: getting the job of your dreams but, 3 months in, you feel imposter syndrome (soooooo normal). You have to remember you were HIRED for this job over everyone else who applied because your employer saw something in you that no other applicant had. I swear only high achievers feel this, so don’t stress.
You are not the imposter.
You are exactly where you need to be.
