Habit Stacking. I’m obsessed, and have to share. I learned about habit stacking 2 years ago from the book “Atomic Habits” and I truly feel it has elevated by every day routine. The habit stacking formula is: Every time I do X (the existing part of my routine), I will then do Y (the new thing I want to add to my routine). For example, for me, every morning I go downstairs and ice roll, I started to open the windows and let the morning sunlight hit my face and eyes while I ice roll (boom habit stack). I also fill up my water, and instead of just plan water, I’ll drop some electrolytes, debloat drops, and minerals in my water (boom habit stack). Now instead of just ice rolling and getting water, I’m ice rolling, getting morning sun, getting more hydrated, less bloated, and getting the minerals I need to start my day. I hope this inspired you to add some habit stacks to your morning!
